who is Jesus
This should not be surprising as he’s the most famous person in all of human history. More songs have been sung to him, artwork inspired by him, books written about him, and Simpsons episodes lampooning him than anyone who’s ever lived. Even our calendar is based off his life, dividing time before and after him. Understandably, someone this important will have fans and foes.
Everybody seems to have some idea of who Jesus is.
They may get this idea from pop culture, movies, from professors, history books or Comedy Central. Perhaps past church experiences or private school memories shape this idea.
But just because we have ideas about Jesus doesn’t mean we actually know Jesus.
At Reality, we’re all about Jesus—and the only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him, and to observe the people who are called his community, the church.
So we invite you to consider the person & work of Jesus - love in reality. And we invite you to do so in community - with our church in its gatherings, scatterings & creative expressions. Explore at your own pace, and with loads of grace.
And should you, in this pursuit of love, find yourself pursued - fear not. For the One who pursues is himself relentless. And true. And wonderful. Full of kindness, compassion & abounding in grace.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 esv
